Aaron Perry

Aaron Perry

Aaron Perry is a meteorologist with experience in wind resource assessment, climate science, and numerical weather prediction. Before joining REsurety he worked for Vaisala, performing wind and solar resource assessments, and analyzing hundreds of pre-construction and operational projects around the world. As part of his Master’s studies he researched supply-side volumetric risk to renewable energy companies and the financial tools that may reduce this risk.  At REsurety, Aaron evaluates weather related volumetric risk and structures hedging contracts to mitigate that risk for clean energy buyers and sellers.

Aaron holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from the Central European University in Hungary, Lund University in Sweden, and the University of Manchester in the UK. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University.

Alexandra (Lexi) Nelson

Alexandra Nelson

Lexi Nelson is a data analyst with a background in clean energy. Before joining REsurety, she was involved in research consulting and led her university’s chapter of Engineers for a Sustainable World in designing a solar powered laptop charging station. At REsurety, she contributes to analyses of new and existing contracts.

Lexi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Brown University in Providence, RI.

Amit Ranjan

Amit Ranjan

Amit Ranjan is an engineer and researcher with experience in fundamentals-based modeling of wholesale electricity markets. Before joining the REsurety team, he was a Senior Analyst at National Grid where he improved the fidelity of long-term capacity expansion models to support corporate strategy initiatives. He also studied the financial and electric system peak implications of electrifying heating in buildings across the US Northeast. At REsurety, he is helping to advance power price analytics amid evolving market designs, increasing penetration of renewable energy and changing policy landscape.

Amit holds a Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Delhi Technological University, India.

Austin Thomas

Austin Thomas is a meteorologist and energy systems modeler with experience in modeling renewable energy generation, energy system decarbonization pathways, and North American power markets. Dr. Thomas previously worked for AFRY Management Consulting where he contributed to a wide variety of client projects across North America and Europe. During his academic career, Dr. Thomas conducted research on topics including atmospheric radiation budgets, wind and solar PV generation modeling, and land-use change impacts. At REsurety, Austin is expanding the company’s power price analytics capabilities with a focus on PJM, New York ISO, and ISO New England.

Dr. Thomas holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont, a Master’s degree in Applied Meteorology from the University of Reading, and a Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Barbara Donnelly

Barbara Donnelly

Barbara brings over 20 years of experience supporting people to the REsurety team.  She has worked with startups and high-growth organizations to ensure an efficient and pleasant employee work experience.

Blair Allen

Blair Allen has extensive experience in energy information services products that support both ends of energy market exposure, from the project development phase to managing merchant generation. Before joining REsurety, Mr. Allen worked at a large energy data and analytics company as the Chief of Staff to their Power business unit, helping to manage, develop, and grow the company’s global portfolio of electricity market products and services. Prior to that he worked as a Senior Market Analyst offering price and congestion forecasts to customers with physical or financial risk in the Mid-continent ISO. At REsurety, Blair serves as the Director of Software Customer Success.

Blair holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Bucknell University, with a minor in Economics.

Chris Marlowe

Chris Marlowe is an operations associate with experience in e-commerce and finance. Before joining REsurety, Chris worked at Wayfair as a merchandising operations manager leading teams that supported new merchandising and fulfillment initiatives. At REsurety, Chris is responsible for financial operations, vendor relationships, compliance, and swap data reporting.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations from Tufts University in Medford, MA.

Daniel Jang

Daniel Jang

Daniel Jang is a researcher with experience in fundamentals-based modeling of electric power systems. Before joining REsurety, he worked in the utilities practice at the Brattle Group, consulting on issues spanning wholesale and retail electricity in litigation and commercial contexts. At REsurety, he is helping to advance renewable power price analytics.

Mr. Jang holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from Princeton University.

David Simons

David Simons

David Simons is an engineer with experience in energy systems and data science. Prior to joining REsurety, David led the Systems & Analytics team at Enel X, building software to settle demand response events for the world’s largest DR provider. At REsurety, he develops and improves the analytics used to predict renewable energy revenue and quantify risk.

Mr. Simons holds a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Toronto as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from McGill University.

Devon Lukas

Devon Lukas

Devon Lukas is a data analyst with experience developing data visualization tools. Before joining REsurety, she conducted undergraduate research on floating offshore wind turbine structures, completed greenhouse gas emission analyses for the Pioneer Valley region of Massachusetts as well as the UMass Mount Ida campus, and developed various computational tools for renewable energy data sources. At REsurety, Devon is part of the pre-trade services team in which she primarily structures and analyzes weather-related risk mitigation contracts for clean energy buyers & sellers.

Devon holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Physics & Astronomy, and an integrated concentration in Renewable Energy from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts.

Eddy Page

Eddy Page

Eddy Page is a software engineer with experience developing tools for renewable energy analytics. Prior to joining REsurety, Eddy worked on Edison Energy’s Data Science Team to create R-based SDKs to support analytics efforts, while creating data pipelines and other automations to help the business scale. At REsurety, Eddy works on the Risk Applications team, establishing API tools and data pipelines to serve multiple business lines.

Edwina Rasmussen

Edwina Rasmussen is an analyst with experience in statistical analysis and data visualization in R. Before joining REsurety, Edwina worked as a bioinformatics intern at the Wyss Institute at Harvard University where she worked with the Predictive Bioanalytics Initiative team performing analysis of tissue and cell samples. At REsurety, Edwina is part of the post-trade services team where she works on contract settlement.

Edwina holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Mathematics and Physics from Union College in Schenectady, NY.

Elizabeth Kalikasingh

Elizabeth Kalikasingh

Lizzy Kalikasingh is a materials engineer and scientist with experience in materials selection and optimization for wind and solar technology. Before joining REsurety, Lizzy researched polymer coatings to reduce ice adhesion for wind turbine blades and was involved in the selling of renewable energy credits generated by wind turbines in Cleveland.  Additionally, she worked as an operations engineer at EverPower Windholdings, where she designed tools to analyze the performance of wind turbines and auxiliary instruments.

Ms. Kalikasingh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Gabriel Schrag

Gabriel is a Software Engineer with experience in front end development, quality assurance, data science, and machine learning algorithms. Before joining REsurety, Gabriel completed summer internships with Clearwater Analytics and Google while finishing his undergraduate degree. At REsurety, Gabriel supports further development on historical and forecasted Locational Marginal Emissions data generation.

Gabriel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Irina Gumennik

Irina Gumennik

Irina Gumennik is an environmental engineer and data analyst with more than 10 years of experience in the development of renewable energy projects. Irina was part of the team that permitted, constructed, and commissioned the Block Island Wind Farm, the first offshore wind energy project in the United States. Before joining REsurety, Irina worked for the world’s largest demand response service provider on demand-side solutions and battery storage products for commercial and institutional energy users. At REsurety, Irina evaluates weather-related volumetric risk and structures hedging contracts to mitigate that risk for clean energy buyers and sellers.

Ms. Gumennik holds a Master’s degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University.

Jacob Bulir

Jacob Bulir is an engineer with experience in data science and energy systems. Before joining REsurety, he worked on building out software tools and analytics for the demand response business at Enel X. At REsurety, he works on developing and maintaining software using continuous integration principles.

Jacob graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering and a Masters of Engineering.

Jessica Tomaszewski

Jessica Tomaszewski is an atmospheric scientist with experience in boundary layer Jessica Tomaszewski is an atmospheric scientist with experience in boundary layer meteorology, numerical weather prediction, and wind resource assessment. Prior to joining REsurety, Jessica completed a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship with a focus on simulating interactions between wind farms and the lower atmosphere, as well as two summer internships at NextEra Analytics investigating improvements to the wind farm wake modeling process. As a research scientist at REsurety, she builds and investigates new techniques for analyzing renewable resources and mitigating their financial risk.

Jessica holds a PhD and Master’s degree in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma.

Jhané Thomas

Jhané Thomas

Jhané Thomas is a DevOps Engineer with a pervasive background in CI/CD and automation. Prior to joining REsurety, she worked at large company focused on developing computer processors and related technologies, where she improved their CI/CD pipelines and testing infrastructure. At REsurety, she is building and improving the CI/CD infrastructure as well as implement more DevOps practices.

Ms. Thomas is in the process of attaining her Master’s degree in Information technology and has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, both from Johnson & Wales University.

Jocelyn Kleiger

Jocelyn Kleiger is a software engineer with experience in data science. She trained as a naval architect and marine engineer but pivoted to software engineering in her professional career. Before joining REsurety, Jocelyn worked in the wave energy and electric grid planning fields, developing least-cost grid decarbonization models. At REsurety, she works on the Risk Applications team.

Jocelyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture from Webb Institute.

Lucy (Qiyuan) Fu

Lucy Fu (Qiyuan) is an analyst with experience in solar system performance and storage dispatch strategies. Prior to joining REsurety, she worked at Nexamp, commissioning solar and storage systems, and analyzing solar and storage system performance. At REsurety, she is helping with underwriting and portfolio support.

Lucy holds Bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science and International Relations from Boston University, and a Master’s degree in GIS and Remote Sensing from Boston University.

Marcial Santiago

Marcial Santiago is a data engineer with a background in software development and mathematics. Before joining REsurety and the renewable energy industry, he worked as a Data Specialist at McLean Hospital. Mr. Santiago’s background in mathematics and software development help ensure the quality of to REsurety’s data-intensive approach to risk evaluation and mitigation.

Mr. Santiago holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computational Mathematics from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.

Marion Cundari

Marion Cundari is an engineer turned data analytics specialist. Before joining REsurety, Marion helped develop an audio based wind turbine condition monitoring system while completing her Bachelors degree. She then worked as an energy engineer specializing in energy efficiency after graduating. At REsurety, Marion is responsible for leading the Transaction Analytics team specializing in contract settlement.

Marion holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics from the University of Vermont and a Master of Science in Data Analytics Engineering from Northeastern University.

Mark Brewer

Mark Brewer

Mark is a software engineer with experience in geographic information systems and data visualization. Before joining REsurety, Mark worked to develop hydrologic modeling capabilities for the Bureau of Reclamation and geospatial web applications for The City of Aspen, as well as developed publicly available visualization applications for hydrological data across the United States. At REsurety, Mark is focused on developing our market analytics platform, REmap.

Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Denver with a concentration in geographic information systems, and a minor in Emergent Digital Practices with a concentration in human computer interaction and data visualization.

Martin Richard

Martin Richard is a data engineer with experience in extract-transform-load (ETL) processes and data analysis. Before joining REsurety, Martin has worked at Composable Analytics and BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as well as participating in the Insight Data Science fellowship program. At REsurety, Martin upgrades and maintains the data ingestion processes.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a concentration in Scientific Computing from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania.

Matthew Livingston

Matthew Livingston is a meteorologist with experience in weather forecasting and data analysis. Before joining the REsurety team, Matt worked for Penn State University as a researcher responsible for collecting and analyzing data retrieved from hail storms to help aid in the prediction of large hail events.

Mr. Livingston holds a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology with a focus in Weather Risk Management from the Pennsylvania State University. In addition to his meteorology degree, he also minored in Energy, Business and Finance.

Mike Pruyn

Mike Pruyn is a software engineer with experience in web application development. Before joining REsurety, Mike worked as a full stack developer, building web applications for a wide variety of clients. At REsurety, Mike is focused on developing the company’s market analytics platform, REmap.

Mike has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Mikhail Sharov

Mikhail Sharov is a post-transaction analyst with experience in data analysis and visualization. Before joining REsurety, Mikhail performed astrophysics research, instrumentation, and data analysis at CERN, Boston University, and Yale. At REsurety, Mikhail is responsible for post-trade data analytics services.

Mikhail holds a Bachelor of Arts in Astrophysics from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Mina Naji

Mina Naji is a product manager with experience in climate modeling software products. Before joining REsurety, Mina managed climate catastrophe products for the reinsurance and ILS markets at RMS. At REsurety, Mina is responsible for application and API products for the renewable energy markets.

Mina holds a MS in Statistics from Northern Arizona University and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Nevada Reno.

Morgan O’Connell

Morgan O’Connell is a revenue operations associate with experience in data analytics and Salesforce. Before joining REsurety, Morgan worked for Enel X as the senior analyst for 7 demand response programs across the United States. At REsurety, Morgan is responsible for improving sustainable revenue growth through data modeling, process alignment, and more.

Morgan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Environmental Studies and Art from Lafayette College in Easton, PA.

Nancy Hamilton

Nancy Hamilton is a Senior Product Manager with extensive experience in launching products across multiple industries. Her background with start-ups in particular has focused on transitioning new product accessibility for broader audiences. Ms. Hamilton has founded two companies and been part of senior leadership teams for two additional start-ups. Most recently, Ms. Hamilton managed the K-12 Science product line at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt where she launched HMH Into Science, awarded the 2022 EdTech Breakthrough Award for Best Science Learning Solution.

Ms. Hamilton holds an MBA from D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University, a Master’s degree in Education from Simmons University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College in MA.

Nathan Garcia is a software engineer in test with experience in building and automating test frameworks and tools for web applications. Prior to joining REsurety, he worked at a startup in the IOT and SaaS industry. Nathan uses his experience in software development to help REsurety deliver quality software products and services to their customers.

Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts.

Nick Keohan

Nick Keohan is an analyst with experience in interpreting results from fundamentals-based models of the electrical transmission system and utilizing data visualization tools. Before joining REsurety, he worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory where he contributed to a multidisciplinary project exploring changes in hydropower operation at higher levels of renewable energy integration. At REsurety, Nick is helping with portfolio services and dashboard maintenance.

Nick holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Economics from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Economics from Stonehill College.

Nikhil Ramakrishnan

Nikhil Ramakrishnan is a marketing specialist with experience in brand and digital marketing and category management. Before joining REsurety, Nikhil participated in a co-op program with Wayfair and BookBub through Northeastern University. At REsurety, Nikhil is responsible for digital marketing outreach and content management.

Nikhil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Owen Miles

Owen Miles

Owen Miles is a GIS specialist with experience in mapping and visualizing large environmental datasets.  Before joining REsurety, Owen worked in the environmental consulting field, where he specialized in numerical modeling and data visualization for environmental projects. At REsurety, he is building GIS and data visualization tools.

Owen has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University and a Bachelor degree in Water Resources Engineering.

Peter Richardson

Peter Richardson is an Engineering Manager at REsurety with a focus on data visualization. He has been at the crossroads of Energy markets and data management for over a decade working on a variety of projects including human capacity development for renewable energy systems in the Galapagos Islands and the buildout of analytic software packages for financial contracts in wholesale electricity markets.

Mr. Richardson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Colorado College, with a minor in Mathematics.

Praneeth Gurumurthy

Praneeth Gurumurthy is a Software Engineer with research experience in Physical Oceanography and Offshore Wind Energy. Before joining REsurety, Praneeth performed research on estimating turbulence for offshore wind energy applications at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. At REsurety, Praneeth is responsible for developing and implementing solar energy generation models.

Praneeth holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, India; a Master of Engineering degree in Ocean Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey; and a Master of Science degree in Physical Oceanography from the MIT-WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Ryan Gao

Ryan Gao is an engineer, researcher and business analyst with experience in fundamentals-based modeling of wholesale electricity market and energy market applications development. Before joining REsurety, he was a senior consultant at Energy Exemplar, supporting a wide variety of clients on production cost modeling and energy market analysis. Prior to that, he was a business analyst and an engineer at New York ISO, supporting the design and operation of energy and FTR markets. At REsurety, Ryan is advancing the company’s price analytics for renewable energy with a focus on SPP and Midwest ISO.

Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as well as a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Electric Power Engineering from Wuhan University, China.

Sahar Shirani

Sahar Shirani

Sahar Shirani is a civil engineer with extensive background in data analysis and statistical model development. Prior to joining REsurety, she worked at a Boston-based startup focused on treating industrial water, where she conducted market analysis on commodities. At REsurety, she is building and continuously improving the data science platform that powers REsurety’s insights into the renewable energy markets.

Ms. Shirani holds a Master’s degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Amirkabir Unviersity of Technology, in Iran.

Sarah Sofia

Sarah Sofia

Sarah Sofia is a photovoltaics engineer with extensive research experience in techno-economic analysis of solar cells and solar-plus-storage systems at high PV adoption rates. Prior to joining REsurety, Sarah performed doctoral research at MIT to determine how novel solar cell architectures and storage technologies could be made economically viable through combining experimental device fabrication, module manufacturing and system cost analysis, and location specific energy yield modeling to inform the optimal solar cell device design. At REsurety, Sarah is developing the team’s solar energy modeling software capabilities.

Dr. Sofia holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Astronomy with a concentration in scientific computing from Haverford College.

Shane Hall

Shane Hall trained as a mechanical engineer, but pivoted to software engineering after gaining academic research experience in the aerodynamic modeling of wind turbines. He has worked at ISO-NE modeling renewable resources, and as a software engineer in the energy consulting industry building financial software products and running commodity market forecasting to advise on procurement strategy in the C&I space. He has extensive experience in resource and market modeling, machine learning forecasting, and software product development.  At REsurety, Shane builds and improves software that analyzes renewable resources and assesses financial risk.

Mr. Hall holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering, and a Certificate in Wind Power Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Steven Kalt is a DevOps engineer with experience in full-stack development. Prior to REsurety, Steven worked as a data visualization engineer at Lux Research. At REsurety, Steven works to ensure the security, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of REsurety’s cloud resources.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Amherst College in Massachusetts.

Lee Taylor is the Co-Founder and CEO of REsurety. Since founding REsurety in 2012 to commercialize research he conducted at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, Mr. Taylor has built a rapidly growing company, gained institutional financing and attracted top-notch talent, advisors and directors. Today, REsurety’s products are not only award winning, but are redefining the way clean energy buyers and sellers are thinking about and managing risk. Under Mr. Taylor’s stewardship, REsurety has amassed contracts supporting more than 7,000 MW of renewable energy generation capacity, and counts many of the U.S. — if not the world’s — largest companies as customers and partners, including Microsoft, Invenergy, Capital Power, Southern Company, Nephila Climate, and Allianz.

Mr. Taylor holds an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he was named an Edward Tuck Scholar (awarded for academic achievement) and recipient of the Lt. Walter Jacobs Memorial Prize (awarded for intellectual leadership). He also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Biology from the University of Virginia.

Adam Reeve is a mechanical engineer and data scientist with a strong interest in the rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape. Before joining the REsurety team, he worked for a proprietary trading firm specializing in quantitative analysis of energy markets. His deep experience in data-driven analysis, model building, risk assessment and data visualization support REsurety’s analytical approach to quantifying and managing the weather-linked revenue risks of wind power projects.

Mr. Reeve holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Political Science from Yale College, with a focus on energy and environmental studies. He graduated with distinction in both majors.

Carl Ostridge

Carl Ostridge

Carl Ostridge has more than 10 years of wind energy experience specializing in pre-construction and operational wind resource and energy yield assessments. Prior to joining REsurety, Mr. Ostridge worked for DNV GL analyzing and improving the accuracy of wind farm energy analyses and developing models to predict wind farm energy output and revenue on hourly timescales. He also led research activities focusing on turbine performance, wind flow and wake modeling, measurement instrument accuracy, and wind resource variability and long-term trends. His extensive industry experience and proven analytical skills support REsurety’s industry-leading tools and expertise in weather-related risk and valuation for renewable energy projects.

Mr. Ostridge holds a Master’s degree in Astrophysics from the University of Exeter in the UK.

David Luke Oates is an engineer and researcher with experience in statistical and fundamentals-based modeling of wholesale electricity systems.  Before joining the REsurety team, he was a consultant at the Brattle Group, supporting electricity market operators, utilities, and asset owners to address market design, asset valuation, and regulatory questions. At REsurety, he is helping to advance power price analytics in the context of emerging issues in the electricity sector.

Dr. Oates holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University, Canada.

Jennifer Newman

Jennifer Newman, Vice President of Atmospheric Science Research, REsurety

Jennifer Newman is an atmospheric scientist with experience in boundary layer meteorology, remote sensing, machine learning, and wind resource assessment. Prior to joining REsurety, Dr. Newman completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory with a focus on improving turbulence estimates from Doppler wind lidars. As a research scientist at REsurety, she investigates new methods for estimating the risk of potential wind projects.

Dr. Newman holds Doctor of Philosophy and Master’s degrees in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science from Cornell University where she graduated with distinction in research.

Tara Bartley is an accomplished marketer with over two decades in the global technology industry, excelling in product, field and industry marketing, brand building, lead generation and new product launches. She started her career in technology at SAP and subsequently dove into the start-up and early-stage technology sector with responsibility for everything from product launches to website optimization and PR/Analyst relations before being acquired into Akamai Technologies and holding several marketing leadership roles there. She joins REsurety with a unique background of significant marketing contributions to start-up acquisitions and a larger technology company’s track record of success.

Ms. Bartley holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) with a concentration in marketing from Bryant University.
